Bonton Community Festival
On Saturday, November 6 we brought the people of Bonton together at a community festival to help us officially celebrate the grand opening of the new Literacy Lab inside Bridge Builders.
Once our guests checked in, they had access to community resource tables that could help them in a variety of ways. Beyond the tables inside, they could play Bingo, get their faces painted, get a haircut, or just mingle and hang out with our CEOC team and others in their community.
Outside was really where the kids wanted to be with all the bounce houses, getting getting snow cones from the Kona Ice Truck, and so much more! Our team grilled up burgers and hot dogs, and we had a 3×3 basketball tournament going on the whole time. If you know this community, you know they love basketball! On top of all the fun, the weather was perfect. We were beyond happy to see the joy being shared by all who attended.
A huge shoutout to the Dallas Police officers who came out to be with us in this community. They had just as much fun as the kiddos, and the kids were really excited to talk to officers in uniform and check out the police cars!
In addition to all our 2021 sponsors who helped to make this event happen, we also want to say an extra thank you to those who went above and beyond to make this event so special:
- Planning Mode who donated their event planning services including countless hours with all teams involved
- Avondale Group who brought a huge team out to support with all kinds of volunteers in addition to their original sponsorship
- Rosewood Ranches who supplied us with Wagyu beef hamburgers and hot dogs
- Sam’s Club who brought all the fixings and sides and also donated a grill, patio umbrella and big screen TV to be won by Bonton residents
- Advanced Fixtures, Inc. who donated the basketball goals and balls and whose team also grilled up all the burgers and hot dogs for our guests
We are so thankful for all of our 2021 Sponsors as well, including those who were not able to join us for this event:
Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special for us! This was our inaugural community event and we couldn’t be happier with the lives we got to impact in Bonton.
